SVP, Training Quality, Technology & Training Innovation

Eduardo Hernandez serves as Senior Vice President of Training Quality, Technology, and Training Innovation at Per Scholas. Since joining the national nonprofit as an associate director on the technical instruction team in 2013, Eduardo has grown in responsibility and currently ensures instructor and training excellence for 4,000 Per Scholas learners and thousands of Per Scholas Alumni, reporting to our Chief Training Officer.

At the onset of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, Eduardo was integral in providing leadership and oversight to transition Per Scholas’ in-person training operation to a fully remote offering, with an incredible 96 percent learner retention rate. He leads strategic curriculum and technology partnerships with AWS, Cisco, CompTIA, Instructure, Microsoft, and Zoom to ensure Per Scholas’ training offerings are best-in-class, training learners in today’s most in-demand technology skills.

In 2021, as technical lead, Eduardo developed, tested, and implemented the technology and training support for instructors to implement Per Scholas’ new Satellite Model, leveraging Cisco Video Conference technology, removing barriers, and increasing access to technology skills training across all five New York City boroughs.

Eduardo is a proud Per Scholas Graduate, having successfully completed Project Scale training in New York in 2013 and earning CompTIA Security+ and Cisco Certified Network Associate Routing and Switching (CCNA) Certifications. In addition to hardware skills, Eduardo is a programmer at heart. He graduated from Pace University with a B.S. in Computer Science and is currently earning a Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity from New York University.
