About Computer Asset Recovery
Per Scholas partners with leading IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) service companies to deliver a comprehensive computer asset recovery service used by more than 150 corporations, government agencies and other nonprofits. A portion of earned revenue supports all our other programs. Clients have included Con Edison, Estee Lauder, Fox Cable News, MasterCard Worldwide and Metro North. By disposing of end of life computer and other technology equipment through Per Scholas, your organization can easily contribute toward improving the lives of people in low-income communities through our IT training and other programs.
With more than a decade of experience in collecting, handling and processing end of life electronic equipment, our team can guarantee that your donation will support your social responsibility goals while satisfying all the business, legal and environmental obligations you face when disposing of computers and other technology equipment.
The Per Scholas Asset Recovery Service delivers a total solution consisting of:
Convenient Pick-Up and Secure Transport—Trained personnel will pick up technology assets from one or more locations and deliver them directly to a secure location for registration and processing by one of our trusted industry partners.
Asset Tracking and Reporting—We will ensure automated tracking for all your IT equipment so that its status and ultimate disposition can be monitored. Reports will be delivered electronically to your organization.
Data Destruction and Security—Services include certified data removal by trained personnel with custom software and systems that verify complete data destruction on your donated equipment. Tailored solutions for your individual data destruction needs are available. Any identifying marks on your equipment will be removed.
Maximize Social Value—Per Scholas will receive a portion of the revenue generated by every IT asset disposition request. These funds — nearly $1 million in 2011 — help power all our programs, including the Per Scholas Institute for Technology and our Digital Inclusion efforts.
Eliminate Environmental Liability—Any equipment that can not be reconditioned and reused will be sorted and delivered to approved recyclers with full capability to recycle plastics, metals and other components, keeping tons of e-waste out of landfills. These recyclers are audited to confirm compliance with applicable federal, state and local environmental laws.
Mobilized for Growth—Per Scholas has partnered with asset recovery firms across the U.S. With these partnerships, Per Scholas can service your needs on a national basis and increase your organization’s support of Per Scholas’ mission.
