Apply for Training
The course is available to anyone who is currently unemployed or underemployed. Applicants must go through a 3 step selection process that includes testing and two interviews. The application process is competitive since there are more applicants then slots available. To apply for one of our courses:
- Visit the Per Scholas Training Center at 1231 Lafayette Ave in the Bronx (click here for directions) Monday - Thursday at 9:00 AM for an orientation. No appointment is necessesary but please be prompt.
- After attending the orientation, determine if the course is right for you.
- Take the reading and math tests. If you pass the test, you will be scheduled for an interview.
- Attend an initial interview.
- Attend a second and final interview.
Applicants will be contacted within 5 business days of their interview to be informed of their selection status.
Eligibility Requirements
- 18-55 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to pass basic reading and math test
- Available for all-day training sessions
- Interest in obtaining employment upon completion of the course
