Amanda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology from SUNY Cortland. While working toward that degree, she interned with the Drug and Alcohol Treatment Court and Catholic Charities, which led her to pursue a Master of Social Work from Stony Brook University. While in the Masters program, she interned at a High School in Long Island where she found her passion for working with students.
Amanda grew up in Long Island on the water, which gave her a love for the outdoors, water sports, and adventure. She also developed a love for travel and adventure when she first studied abroad to Italy in the summer of 2014, which motivated her to tour Europe for a month in 2016. Traveling gave her the opportunity to learn about herself and the world we live in.
