
Carlos Garcia is a cybersecurity educator with 20 years of experience teaching information technology and networking programs. Carlos has 20 years of high school and 16 years of post-secondary teaching experience as an adjunct professor, part time lecturer, and professor in undergraduate and graduate courses. Carlos is a co-founder of the Michigan Initiative for Cyber Education (MICE), a former Co-Chair of the National Initiative for Cyber Education (NICE) for K12 Education, and a former Team Lead for the Michigan Cyber Civilian Corps. He is also a former Michigan Sheriff’s Deputy, served 27 years in the US Army Military Police Corps, and owned a restaurant. He was born and raised on the upper East side and graduated Aviation High School in Queens, where he learned magic in a speech class and has been doing magic for 40 years.
Carlos still lives in Michigan but will return to the Bronx area where most of his family resides.
