Dr. Charlie Mackey, Jr. is the Managing Director for Per Scholas St. Louis. His background is in community outreach and development in higher education. He is passionate about improving the social and economic mobility of underrepresented communities.

Charlie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Columbia College, a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership from Webster University’s George Herbert Walker’s School of Business and Technology, and a Doctorate of Education in Leadership from Baker University’s School of Professional and Graduate Studies. He has previously served in non-profit leadership as a board member for United Way of Greater Kansas City and as the former President of the Kansas City Collegiate Admissions Professionals.

He has extensive experience in relationship management, program development, and creating pathways for personal and professional success through education and training.
