Kate will works directly with the Managing Director as part of the Atlanta program leadership team managing the day to day operations. Additionally, she drives the effort to cultivate and engage corporate and community partners in understanding and supporting the mission of Per Scholas.
Kate also works on special projects for the national program team to support sites, including building out database user guides, training for program staff, and data integrity processes across sites. Her role provides critical support as we grow towards our organizational goal of 4,000 enrollees by 2023.
A self-proclaimed native Atlantan, Kate is a two time graduate of the University of Georgia, where she obtained her Bachelors of Social Work and Masters of Social Work, and holds a certificate in Nonprofit Management. Kate has a breadth of experience in the nonprofit sector, having worked for a large national-level nonprofit, as well as community-based programs. She brings experience in operational management, corporate partnerships, and mission integration. Most recently, Kate served as the Interim Executive Director and Deputy Director of Literacy Action, a partner of Per Scholas in Atlanta.
Kate and her husband, Matt, a local attorney and military service member, have two daughters and reside in the Grant Park area of Atlanta. She loves spending time pretending to be a foodie, checking out what is new on the Atlanta restaurant scene, and being on the Beltline.
