Luis A. Arzu
VP, Chief Information Security Officer
Luis started his career in technology with Per Scholas in 1996 working as a computer technician in training. At Per Scholas Luis was introduced to the world of hardware and software as he built and repaired computers for schools. In 1998 Luis moved on to Rabobank International where he progressed through various leadership positions in information technology, application development & support and security operations, including serving as Rabobank America’s Information Security Officer at Urban One. Luis then served in the role of Manager of Cyber Security and Risk Management for United Technologies Corporation. In this role, Luis was primarily responsible for delivering analytics-based security solutions focused on boosting the organization’s security posture. Luis is also the former Chief Information Security Officer at Farm Credit Financial Partners, Inc. Today Luis is the Chief Information Security Officer of Urban One, Inc., the largest distributor of urban content in the country. In this capacity, Luis is responsible for establishing and maturing next generation enterprise wide cybersecurity risk management programs and capabilities. He is also a faculty member at Western Governors University where he teaches Cybersecurity at the Masters and Undergrad level.
Luis holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Thomas Edison State University; a master’s degree in Information Security & Assurance from Western Governors University; a master’s in IT Management from Western Governors University and an Executive Masters in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut.
