Miguel started his tech career as an Information Technology Analyst for a financial organization in New York City. After several years in the IT sector, he created a tech startup in his hometown neighborhood of Sunset Park, Brooklyn, where he facilitated computer classes for the Hispanic community and developed software development courses for adults.
Over the past ten years, Miguel has held leadership roles at several nonprofit organizations, developing technical training programs for at-risk youth, older adults, and higher learning education. His career highlights include creating a coding training program funded by the Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD) in Sunset Park and Bedford Stuyvesant in Brooklyn, NY, implementing a software development Bootcamp for the City University of New York, and design a digital training curriculum for 20 grassroot nonprofit organizations across the USA for Google.org
Miguel is passionate about technology education, community development, and helping others succeed. Miguel currently resides in New Jersey with his wife and two boys. He enjoys reading, watching fútbol, playing chess, and following the NY Knicks. He also enjoys spending time with Chewie – his five-year-old Jack Russell Terrier in his free time.
