Most recently, Miguelina held the position of Business Development Coordinator at the International Youth Foundation. Previous to this, Miguelina served as Fulbright Fellow in the Canary Islands of Spain, where she worked as an English Teacher for students ages 3-15. During this time she also conducted a community research project on the impact of touch in early childhood development. Prior to this, Miguelina served as a Special Assistant on the Press team at the Center for American Progress, a DC-based think tank. While at the Center for American Progress, Miguelina worked to uplift progressive policy solutions across a variety of communications channels. Miguelina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. In her spare time, Miguelina enjoys painting, hiking, and attending yoga classes!
