Sheirly has been serving community-based and government organizations for over a decade. She received a master’s degree in Counseling, which prepared her to balance the vital relationships between funders, job seekers, and business partners effectively. She has been recognized for developing high-quality programs ranging from youth and community development to workforce services. Her first introduction to Workforce Development was in 2013 as the Director of a Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) program in New York City (NYC). At the helm of a previously underperforming program, she developed and transformed it to earn an overall NYC government rating of “excellent” during her tenure there. Sheirly takes a disciplined people-forward approach when managing teams and projects. She believes this is the foundation for her ability to produce positive results consistently. She always focuses on three things: People, Process, and Progress.
