Diverse by Design is a national conversation series focused on increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the technology workforce. The series brings together c-suite thought leaders and workforce development decision-makers to discuss best practices for businesses that want to invest in a more diverse workforce, build an equitable economy, and adopt inclusion as a pivotal tool for growth and progress.

The Diverse by Design series is hosted by Per Scholas, a national social change nonprofit that prepares curious adults who are unemployed or in low-wage jobs with the technical and business skills to launch life-changing careers in technology, in partnership with the Information Technology Senior Management Forum (ITSMF), the only national organization dedicated exclusively to cultivating professional talent among African-American IT executives.

To date, Diverse by Design has hosted events in New York and Washington, D.C. Each event has gathered more than 150 attendees to hear from Fortune 500 thought leaders in technology, finance, energy, and social impact. To learn more about our New York and Washington, D.C. events click here.

As part of Diverse by Design, Per Scholas and the Information Technology Senior Management Forum (ITSMF) together with visionary leaders from Fortune 500 companies and nonprofits launched the Diverse by Design National Working Group to inspire and activate the private sector to make workplaces more inclusive, equitable, and diverse. The Diverse by Design National Working Group will elevate what’s working to drive and sustain a diverse workforce, form alliances that bridge gaps between America’s untapped talent and fast-growing organizations, and leverage data and evidence-based practices to influence HR and business decisions.
