Who is Per Scholas?

Founded in the South Bronx in 1995, Per Scholas has grown from a local resource to a national leader in workforce development. In Our Own Words
Per Scholas has been the shining gateway between the opportunities our communities need, and the creative outlet that directs and molds the raw potential our communities already posses. As a product of these communities, I share a deeper appreciation for Per Scholas' willingness to support the needs of the people they work with. I am eternally grateful, and am committed to continue the incredible example Per Scholas has set.
I love working at Per Scholas because I love contributing to a mission-driven organization! Everyone is passionate and hard-working and really cares about what they do. - How long should I wait before hearing back from someone after applying for a role?
This can vary depending on the volume of applications received. Two weeks is a good timeframe to wait before reaching out to Per Scholas at [email protected]
- What if I see multiple roles that I am interested in on the website? Can I apply to all?
Yes, but we recommend a bit of caution. If the roles are very different, requiring various skillsets and different tiers (i.e. Associate, Manager, SVP) it could send the message that you are unclear of your career direction
- What other requirements does Per Scholas have to qualify for employment?
Every external candidate must satisfactorily complete a background check and drug test (within compliance to state and local laws with regard to drug legalization). We also require the COVID-Vaccine for both onsite and remote roles, with accommodations considered for documented medical and religious reasons
- Do you provide employment sponsorship?
No, we do not provide employment sponsorship.
- For remote roles, do you consider candidates outside of the United States?
No, we only consider candidates that reside within the United States.
- Do you offer part-time or evening roles?

- Do you offer benefits?
All full-time employees enjoy a competitive benefits package with 37+ days off during the first year of employment, medical premiums starting below $20 per paycheck, $1 for $1 matching on 401k – up to 6%, and much more! Limited-term employees are not eligible for benefits except for a limited number of prorated sick days.
