Barry Kalian serves as Vice President of Strategic Alliances & Partnership Ecosystem at UL Solutions. Prior to this role, Barry led the Americas Region for Global & Strategic Accounts. With over 35 years of experience in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry, he brings deep expertise and leadership to the organization.

Barry joined UL Solutions in 1990 as an engineer and since then has held multiple technical, commercial and leadership roles within numerous teams and in several North America locations before relocating to the Chicagoland Area in 2015. Barry has an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from California State University, Sacramento, and holds a Master of Business Administration from the Washington State University. Barry is also a registered Professional Engineer in the states of California and Washington.

Barry is based in the Chicagoland area and is married to Zuzana and has two adult sons. Barry is a lifelong learner and a strong supporter of mentorship. His other passions include serving on non-profit boards, traveling, experiencing new foods & cultures, fine dining, and golfing.
