Dominique earned her M.S.W. from Tulane University School of Social Work. Prior to obtaining her LMSW, Dominique was an English Language Arts teacher in Alabama. Working in the classroom, it became clear that students did not perform to the best of their ability when external factors outweighed school tasks. This sparked her desire to become a social worker. During her master’s program, she interned as therapist at BayPointe Pediatric Hospital which paved the way for her to become an Advocate Counselor for a local school system. After her tenure there, she served as a hospice social worker before having a desire to return to a position that intersected Education and Social Work here at Per Scholas.
