Nicole Terrizzi has devoted her life to equity in opportunity, beginning her career as a Teach for America teacher in Kansas City and spending more than 15 years collaborating with local, regional, national, and international organizations. She has worked as a fundraiser, grant writer, and consultant to nonprofits, corporations, and foundations, and has raised more than $100M in public and private funds for diverse missions and organizations. Originally from a small farming community in Northwest Iowa but now living in the Seattle area, Nicole proudly wields the ability to both drive a tractor and navigate city life as a former resident of the San Francisco Bay Area for 14 years. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri St. Louis, where she received her Master’s in secondary education, and Simpson College, a small liberal arts school in Iowa, where she majored in English and journalism/mass communications. Nicole’s hobbies include sampling eclectic food with her partner Mick, numerous park visits and hikes with her two young children, and reading creative nonfiction and memoir whenever she has a spare moment.
