Tyrone Washington is Per Scholas’ Executive Vice President, Information Technologies/Information Systems (IT/IS). In this role, Tyrone leads Per Scholas’ technological strategy and operations, focusing on driving digital transformation and enhancing IT systems to better serve learners and partners. He oversees the implementation of technology solutions that align with organizational goals, fosters collaboration across teams, and ensures the scalability and effectiveness of IT infrastructure and applications.

With extensive experience in education and nonprofit organizations, Tyrone has a background in implementing enterprise and classroom infrastructure, applications, and data integrations. He has managed IT transformations for U.S. K-12 organizations, scaling from 38 to 45 classrooms across multiple states, and for international nonprofits with infrastructure spanning 26 field offices. Prior to joining Per Scholas, Tyrone served as Director of IT Projects at City Year, where he led large-scale IT initiatives, mentored teams, and developed frameworks to align technology strategies with organizational missions.

Tyrone holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Southern Connecticut State University, an MBA from Albertus Magnus College, and an Online Graduate Certificate in Project Management from Boston University. In addition, Tyrone is a 2013 Teach for America Alumni and a 2016 Education Pioneers Alumni. As certified Agile coach, he is passionate about advancing equity and innovation through technology. Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Tyrone is deeply committed to mentorship and empowering others through impactful leadership.
