
Abel F. Deleon, M.Ed. is the Director of Instructor Academy Operations at Per Scholas, where he brings a deep passion for creating better futures through education and training. With more than a decade of leadership experience in PK–12 education, Mr. Deleon has served as a Teacher, Dean of Students, Dean of Academics, Principal, and Founding Principal—helping to lead three “A” rated STEM- and character-focused campuses. He has also held several system-level roles, including GT Coordinator, ESL Coordinator, 504/SPED Coordinator, District Testing Coordinator, McKinney-Vento Liaison, Teacher and Principal Mentor, Director of Marketing and Communications, and Advisor to the Superintendent.
Before joining Per Scholas, Mr. Deleon served as Chief Advancement Officer at Jubilee Academies, overseeing Communications, Marketing, Recruitment, Talent Acquisition, Athletics, Family and Community Engagement, and Discipline. A lifelong learner and educational equity advocate, he earned his bachelor’s degree (magna cum laude) in Psychology with a minor in Business from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s in Educational Administration (summa cum laude) from Texas A&M University–Commerce.
Now at Per Scholas, Mr. Deleon supports the Instructor Development & Quality Assurance team by using data and systems-level insights to help ensure excellence across the organization. His work aligns with his personal mission: to expand opportunity through education and help individuals unlock their potential and achieve better, brighter futures.
