Per Scholas Showcases Career Accelerator Model at Net Inclusion 2026

February 5, 2026 | Chicago, IL

At the 2026 Net Inclusion Conference, hosted by the National Digital Inclusion Alliance, Per Scholas Managing Director Kate Doyle delivered a lightning-round presentation highlighting how workforce innovation can advance digital equity beyond initial job access.

During her session, “Career Accelerator: Advancing Digital Equity Through Workforce Innovation,” Doyle emphasized that digital inclusion must extend past connectivity and an initial job attainment to support long-term career growth and economic mobility.

“Digital inclusion isn’t just about helping someone land their first tech job—it’s about creating pathways for sustained career advancement,” Doyle shared.

Doyle highlighted Per Scholas’ Career Accelerator initiative, a model designed to help early-career technologists continue progressing after entering the workforce. The program combines instructor-led upskilling, personalized career coaching, and employer partnerships to align training with evolving labor market needs. Research presented during the session shows participants in instructor-led upskilling programs experience an average 32% increase in earnings, or approximately $14,000 in additional annual wages, compared to their first post-training role.

The presentation aligned with broader themes from Net Inclusion 2026, where practitioners and policymakers explored how digital equity efforts can drive measurable economic outcomes. Doyle concluded by encouraging organizations to measure success beyond initial job attainment—tracking wage growth, promotions, and long-term career mobility. Through initiatives like Career Accelerator, Per Scholas continues to demonstrate how digital inclusion strategies can transform access into sustained opportunity and workforce equity.
