Adam leads efforts to deliver advanced technology capabilities while reducing cyber security risk.

Shortly after joining IGS Energy in 2016, Adam helped formalize the organization’s first information security program which included establishing processes for vulnerability, risk and identity management. At IGS, he currently serve as a Senior Director and lead a department with responsibilities including information security, devops, infrastructure, technology support, business intelligence, machine learning, EDI and RPA. He has also served as a product manager and set direction for cross functional teams comprised of software engineers, quality assurance testers and business analysts.

His passion for improving technology education and creating workforce opportunities led him to become a Senior Lecturer at Ohio State University and a member of the Advisory Boards for technology programs at Ohio University and Columbus State Community College. He is also an Advisory Board Member for Per Scholas Columbus, which provides skills training and access to employer networks for underrepresented individuals.

In an effort to help provide individuals in his community with a second chance, he joined the Board of Trustees for Alvis, Inc. in 2019. Alvis is a nonprofit human services agency with 50 years of experience providing highly effective treatment programs. As a member of the Board of Trustees, he serves as an ambassador for the organization, advise the executive team about technology and information security, help make governing decisions, and assist in securing the resources and financial support to advance the Alvis mission.

Adam is a lifelong learner, holding a Master’s degree from Ohio University and certifications from ISC2, ISACA, Microsoft, VMware, Scrum.org, the Innovative Leaders Institute, and Franklin University. In 2020, he published a book titled “Trial by Fire: Lessons in IT Leadership”. This book is a collection of 49 stories that Adam captured over his 10+ years as an IT leader. His hope is that you can turn to any chapter for a quick, yet comprehensive leadership lesson.
