David Sobol is the Chief Operating Officer at Vatic, a quantitative investing firm where traders, quantitative researchers, artificial intelligence researchers and technologists collaborate to develop autonomous trading agents and build cutting edge technology. David is responsible for managing business operations at Vatic. Prior to joining Vatic, he was the Chief Operating Officer and former General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Moon Capital Management LP, a long/short equity hedge fund manager focused on emerging markets, where he was responsible for all business operations. Prior to Moon Capital, he was a Counsel at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP and an Associate at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP. David holds a B.A. from Georgetown University and a J.D. from New York University School of Law.  He lives in Manhattan with his two daughters.
