Anna Kovacevic is the Senior Manager of Development for the Seattle and Los Angeles markets. Anna came to the United States after leaving Bosnia during the civil war of the 1990s. Her experience as a refugee shaped her world view and ignited her passion for social justice. Anna has 10 years of experience in the nonprofit sector and has served in a range of roles in her areas of expertise – development and fundraising. She is passionate about advancing economic, social, and environmental justice.

Prior to joining Per Scholas, Anna served as the Development Officer at the Public Defender Association, raising funds to support victims of violence and develop alternatives to incarceration. She holds a BSW degree from the University of Washington and a Master of Science from Columbia University.

When she’s not working, Anna enjoys reading, trying new recipes, and exploring the Pacific Northwest where she is based.
