Jessica Zorola is the Managing Director for Per Scholas, Newark. In this role, Jessica sets the regional vision and strategy for Per Scholas by representing the organization externally to community and employment partners and leads the Newark team to meet and exceed programmatic and fundraising goals each cycle.

Previously, Jessica worked for Year Up New York I New Jersey where she launched the first partnership site in February 2020 at Hudson County Community College in Jersey City, NJ. During her time at Year Up, Jessica has worked to expand recruitment community partnerships in New Jersey and New York to build a diverse talent pipeline to meet and exceed enrollment outcomes. She has supported programmatic operations and internship matching, graduating the first inaugural New Jersey Year Up cohort in 2021. She has served as a coach to over 25+ interns with mentorship, advocacy, and professional network opportunities within and outside of the organization.

Jessica started her career at the University of Houston (Houston, Texas) and Rutgers University – Newark (Newark, NJ) in a variety of academic, admission, and operation management roles. Jessica has also taught undergraduate Anthropology courses at Houston Community College and the University of Houston. She is a graduate of University of Texas – San Antonio (B.A., Anthropology) and the University of Houston (M.A. Anthropology). Jessica is a native Texan and foodie – who enjoys spending the outdoors and traveling with her family in New Jersey.
