A Puerto Rico native, Keyla is an experienced educator, instructional designer, and program manager and has a bachelor’s in Biology and Masters in Education from UMass Amherst. A strong proponent of alternative education and pathways programs, Keyla continues to leverage her background and experience in STEM, education, and curriculum design to develop programs that close the opportunity gap in tech for BIPOC and other underrepresented groups.

Keyla’s interests range from outdoor activities such as hiking and photography to indoor activities such as playing video games, hosting board game nights, and traveling with her boyfriend, Francisco, and her corgi, Naki.
