Liz Newell is a human resources leader and AVP, Global Development Lead at Chubb, with a passion for people and a career built on helping organizations – specifically tech teams – create environments where talent truly thrives. Her work sits at the intersection of talent strategy and potential – identifying, developing, and investing in the next generation of tech professionals. Liz has always believed that the right opportunity can change the trajectory of someone’s life. 

That belief took on new meaning when she joined the Per Scholas Advisory Board. Immersed in the organization’s mission and rooted in the Philly community it serves, she found herself called to a conversation about economic mobility and what it really takes to open doors for those who’ve historically lacked the access to build a career in tech. Liz continues to see the impact of Per Scholas firsthand through Chubb’s own Apprenticeship program, with Per Scholas alumni well represented. Getting to know each individual – understanding their personal story, what they overcame, and what they are capable of – and then watching them grow and succeed within the company has been truly special.

Today, she brings both her global HR expertise and her heart to ensuring that more Philadelphians have a real shot at the tech careers that can transform their lives.
