Rebecca brings more than ten years experience in the nonprofit sector with roles in development, community engagement, and government relations. Previously, Rebecca served as Director of Government Relations at the Arts & Science Council (ASC) in Charlotte, NC where she led advocacy and engagement with local, state, and federal elected officials and government staff, developed and wrote public sector funding requests and evaluations, and was staff liaison for three community advisory councils. Prior to joining ASC, Rebecca was a member of the philanthropy teams at the American Red Cross and Apparo where she managed grant writing and relationship management with foundation, corporate, and government partners.

Rebecca earned a BA in Political Science from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Colorado Denver. She lives in Charlotte with her husband and two daughters, serves on the board of Arts North Carolina, and spends much of her free time practicing yoga, running, hiking, and cycling.
