About the partnership
Since 2018, Prudential has provided funding to support job seekers and businesses in the Newark, NJ community. Prudential’s support enabled Per Scholas to:
- Launch and sustain our Newark campus which has trained more than 600 New Jersey residents since our grand opening in April 2019 with Prudential as a founding partner
- Provide learners with key professional insights through more than a dozen corporate volunteer events engaging Prudential employees, including mock interviews, networking, fireside chats, and mentorship
- Hired nearly a dozen Per Scholas graduates into roles in Cybersecurity, Software Development, IT Support
- Provided leadership guidance through local Prudential employee, Min Zhang, Database Administration Director’s service on Newark’s local advisory board
