About the partnership
Since 2018, Prudential has provided funding to support job seekers and businesses in the Newark, NJ community. A founding partner of our Newark campus, Prudential’s support has enabled Per Scholas to:
- Launch and sustain our Newark campus which has trained nearly 700 New Jersey residents since opening in April 2019 in cloud data management, software engineering, network support, and cybersecurity, to prepare historically excluded individuals with information technology skills that meet local employer needs
- Provide learners with key professional insights through more than 20 corporate volunteer events, including mock interviews, networking, fireside chats, and mentorship, through which Prudential employees have donated more than 1800 hours
- Inspire our learners by showing them real pathways to well-paying, meaningful employment thanks to Prudential’s hiring nearly a dozen Per Scholas graduates into Cybersecurity, Software Development, and IT Support roles
- Benefit from leadership guidance through Prudential’s service on our Newark campus local advisory board
