At a certain point as I looked into tech, I really started to get interested in software engineering and decided that was what I was going to do and that I was going to do whatever it took. Once I had that mindset, I looked at Per Scholas as more of an opportunity than a challenge.
Chris Potti graduated from the Per Scholas Atlanta Software Engineering track before joining Capgemini. Previously in sales, he knew he wanted to get into IT as he didn’t love what he was doing. After some research, he found Per Scholas through his family and pursued his passion for technology. Chris considered Per Scholas’s training challenging, but reflected that he saw that as more of an opportunity, “Per Scholas is a great resource for after you graduate to help you locate potential employment and Capgemini has been a resource for me to continue learning and better my skills.” Chris’s mentor at Capgemini, which he made through connections at Per Scholas, also guided him to make him marketable in the tech industry and develop his soft skills. “My connections at Per Scholas were very helpful and would let us know about job fairs and opportunities that they felt would suit us. I am grateful for their help.”
