Per Scholas Appoints New Chief Development Officer to Accelerate Mission-Driven Initiatives
BRONX, N.Y. (August, 12, 2024) — National nonprofit Per Scholas has appointed a new Chief Development Officer to their National Leadership Team. Sang Lee joins Per Scholas with a wealth of experience in nonprofit leadership and development, ready to further the organization’s mission of building a more equitable workforce.
As CDO, Sang Lee will lead Per Scholas’ national development strategy, focusing on expanding the organization’s reach and impact by forging key partnerships and securing critical funding. His leadership will be instrumental in supporting Per Scholas’ commitment to transforming lives through accessible and high-quality technology training.
Sang has 20 years of business development, management and leadership experience. Prior to joining Per Scholas, Sang served as Chief Revenue Officer, Chief of Staff, and Senior Director of Development at Benefits Data Trust, a national nonprofit focused on streamlining access to public benefit programs, like SNAP, Medicaid, and Pell Grants. Sang also served as Chief Development Officer of Lift Communities, leading fundraising efforts across their national footprint to help families break intergenerational poverty. At City Year, Sang led revenue efforts in two markets as Managing Director and Chief of Staff among other roles. Earlier in his career, Sang held investment consultant roles at American Express and PNC Financial. Sang started his time at Per Scholas on August 7, 2024.
