Per Scholas Celebrates Commitment to Military Community at Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve (ESGR) Signing Ceremony
Last week at Per Scholas’s Bronx campus, Per Scholas President & CEO Plinio Ayala participated in the Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve (ESGR) Signing Ceremony, affirming Per Scholas’s dedication to supporting military families. The ceremony, led by Mary Westmoreland, a decorated combat veteran and New York State Vice Chair for the Department of Defense ESGR Program, highlighted Per Scholas’s commitment to helping veterans transition into the tech industry.
During the event, George Darby III, Veteran and Per Scholas’ Director of Veteran Recruitment & Partnerships, announced the official launch of the “Veterans in Tech” program, further cementing the organization’s ongoing support for those who have served. To date, Per Scholas has trained over 1,000 military-affiliated learners, showcasing its long-standing commitment to the veteran community.
