Marta Vila Garrido is a Data Quality Analyst at Meta with a unique journey to tech. As Director of Programs for the Seattle Chapter of Latinas in Tech, Per Scholas Java Developer graduate, and now board member at Per Scholas Seattle, Marta actively champions diversity in the technology sector, demonstrating her commitment to creating pathways for underrepresented groups beyond her professional work. Marta shares her technical expertise and career insights at prominent industry events, including delivering a lightning talk at the Grace Hopper Conference on confidence-building strategies for emerging software engineers and serving as a featured speaker at AWS re, where she presented her successful career transition journey into tech.
Away from her keyboard, Marta is an avid science fiction and thriller reader who finds joy in exploring new destinations, and you will always find her preparing a great dish in the kitchen.
