Pronouns: He/Him
Hi, I’m Akash! In May 2014 I went on a full-tuition scholarship to Temple University. I graduated Cum Laude in May 2018 with a BA in Film and Media Arts and minor in Digital Media Technologies.
At 21, I moved to Los Angeles and worked in entry level film industry roles, including Post PA on “Larry Charles’ Dangerous World of Comedy.” Check it out now on Netflix! Just before my 23rd birthday, inspired by HBO’s “Vice The Future of Work”, I decided to come home to New Jersey and do the 15 week Network Support program at Per Scholas Newark.
My resourcefulness allowed me to excel through Cycle 4 of NWK. Now, age 24, I get to lead learners with Per Scholas remotely in CompTIA A+, Network+ and Google IT Support. I succeed as a technical instructor through emotionally intelligent leadership, and dynamically altering my approach while teaching.
I love working at Per Scholas because I get to immerse myself in technology and, via remote instruction, bridge the digital divide of New Jersey and New York.
When I’m not teaching tech I like to walk, read, or write.
