Greg joined Apollo in 2017 as Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer in the Finance group. He has over 20 years of experience in managing operating functions, leading organizational transformations, and implementing complex projects. Prior to joining Apollo, Greg had his own consulting practice specializing in business transformation. Before that, he was Chief Administrative Officer & Executive VP at Bookspan, where he was hired by the Private Equity owners to provide leadership for, and execution of, a restructuring and transformation effort. Greg was also a Managing Director at Neuberger Berman, where he was Global Head of Expense Management and Corporate Services. At Neuberger, he was responsible for managing many aspects of the separation from Lehman Brothers following the Lehman bankruptcy. Prior to that, Greg spent a decade at Lehman Brothers working on building an asset management business and growing Lehman’s Private Client business, first in the Corporate Strategy group and later as a Senior Vice President in the Investment Management Division. He started his career as a business consultant at AT Kearney. In addition to Per Scholas, Greg is on the board of directors Rudin Foundation. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology with a BS in mechanical engineering.
