Halena Jones joins us in the role of Manager of Career Advancement. She is a native of Shreveport, Louisiana. Halena received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana, and a Master of Science in Communications at Walden University.

During her undergraduate career, she developed a passion for uplifting youth in the community. Having experience in marketing, recruiting, workforce development, and former educator, she found her niche in the nonprofit sector, where she organized and directed project implementations.

As an advocate and believer in higher education and workforce development, Halena supports many diverse community organizations to help increase the success of all. When Halena is not working in the office, she enjoys all things beauty and wellness by creating self-care projects to empower other women—also spending time with family and friends and making memories with her Godson Jefferson.
