Having spent the bulk of my professional career managing high schoolers (other peoples’ and eventually my own), I’ve grown to love the infinite differences that make us human, and the countless similarities that make us family. I enjoy problem solving, and will often use quiet time in the woods, on a bike, or walking with my dog to puzzle out solutions and pathways forward. Growing up as a distance runner taught me the value of hard work and persistence, and through getting older I’ve learned the benefit of measured, thoughtful approaches. I like having a strong community and the shared benefits of neighbors who care for each other, even when they’ve yet to become friends.
