Karen Bulthuis

Sr. Vice President, Training Operations

As Senior Vice President, Training Operations, Karen manages Per Scholas’ training budget and program operations.

Prior to Per Scholas, Karen worked for a decade with NGOs in New York, Liberia and Washington DC on a range of economic development models including microfinance, sustainable investing and women’s economic empowerment. Karen holds an M.B.A. from The George Washington University and a B.A. in English and Philosophy from Calvin College. Karen hails from the Pacific Northwest and – after working in our Bronx office for five years – now works remotely from Seattle where she spends her time hiking with her dog and trying to keeping up with all the book clubs.
