Omoanatse McCarther, Senior Director of Per Scholas Diverse by Design, brings a unique perspective to the field of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) by drawing from her personal experience as a Nigerian American born in Kaduna, Nigeria. Her extensive background in the healthcare sector, specifically her 15-year service as a correctional, mental health, and trach vent nurse for chronically ill children, has given her invaluable insights into the challenges faced by historically underserved populations.
Omoanatse’s dedication and passion for DEI are deeply rooted in her firsthand encounters with healthcare disparities. Motivated to drive positive change, she is committed to advancing diversity, promoting equity, and fostering inclusivity within organizational settings. With her strong analytical skills and effective communication abilities, Omoanatse makes a meaningful impact by ensuring that DEI goals and objectives are not only met but exceeded, creating an equitable and inclusive working environment.
Utilizing her experience, Omoanatse conducts comprehensive diversity assessments and utilizes metrics to track progress towards DEI goals.
