Per Scholas North Carolina Awarded American Rescue Plan Act Grant

Per Scholas North Carolina was among 13 organizations recommended by the County Manager to receive American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Round II funding in the Workforce & Economic Development category at the Mecklenburg County Board of County Commissioners meeting in Charlotte. With this grant, Per Scholas will receive $400,000 in funding to provide 12-14 weeks of tuition-free technical and professional skills training that will empower learners to launch quality jobs in the IT sector, such as IT Support, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, and AWS.
By removing the significant financial burden associated with higher education, learners graduate with acquiring technical and professional skills necessary for successful job attainment and advancement in IT roles with no tuition debt.
