Per Scholas first launched Diverse by Design as a conversation series in a strategic alliance with the Information Technology Senior Management Forum (ITSMF) in 2016 and created a space where leaders in tech and workforce development could discuss best practices to attract, retain and develop skilled diverse tech professionals.

We’re transforming words into action. We have created Per Scholas Diverse by Design to show that diversity is a design principle that makes good business sense, drives innovation, increases profitability, and leads to better engagement, belonging, and culture.

Our goal is to equip companies with proven tech talent sourcing solutions, tools, and resources that will transform their organizations' diversity landscapes, unlocking potential in our learners, alumni, partners, and staff.

The Per Scholas Diverse by Design National Advisory Board is an integral catalyst for promoting solutions-driven conversations about diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and culture within tech; producing meaningful content that empowers C-suite leaders to make valuable and socially impactful business decisions; and providing access to sophisticated customized training and talent sourcing solutions to meet companies’ talent demands while transforming the diversity within their own companies.

The board is composed of 7-9 leaders across industries and sectors who are committed to ensuring their workplaces are more inclusive, equitable, and diverse.

The Per Scholas Diverse by Design National Advisory Board is led by the Board Chair and Diverse by Design’s co-founders, Kenneth Walker, Executive Vice President, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Culture and Damien Howard, Chief Enterprise Solutions Officer.
