Tina Lyden is a technology executive who has spent the last three decades providing vision, leadership, and governance for a wide array of technology endeavors in industry sectors including education, insurance, government, financial services, energy, healthcare and manufacturing, to name a few. As an executive leader, her expertise encompasses the development, deployment, and management of multi-million dollar, enterprise-level IT project endeavors in areas such as IT operations, governance/risk/compliance, physical and logical security, infrastructure, data centers, application development, project management, strategy, and business development.

Tina was a CIO and member of the Executive Management Team for a central Ohio municipal power company which specializes in the generation, transmission, and distribution of electric power and energy for 135 municipalities in 9 states and has a 24×7/365 power trading floor. During her time there she led a complete IT transformation, and was the NERC CIP cyber asset designee responsible for all compliance of the company’s critical infrastructure which includes over $5 billion in power generation assets. She oversaw all information technology, compliance, information security and SCADA functions, projects, and technology teams. She was responsible for setting, facilitating, and leading technology strategy and tactical execution as well as providing consultative technology insights to the municipal power members in the company’s portfolio.

After leaving her corporate role, Tina founded Triton Technology Solutions in 2010 to provide technology consulting, including virtual CIO services, to small and Medium-Sized businesses and government agencies. One notable engagement was a 16-month project traveling throughout the State of Ohio working as a subject matter expert, and senior technical business liaison for the State of Ohio under the U.S. Department of Commerce National Telecommunications and Information Administration, State and Local Implementation Grant Program 1.0 for Ohio FirstNet. She conducted outreach and spoke on behalf of the State of Ohio and the Department of Administrative Services to share information with future users and first responders in various market sectors about the National Public Safety Broadband Network called FirstNet.

Tina is the Founder, President, and CEO of Elysian Fiber, which is a woman-owned, technology design, build, and integration company she started in early 2018. Elysian Fiber specializes in fiber infrastructure and technology and is committed to bridging the digital divide by identifying, introducing, and installing innovative fiber optic infrastructure solutions. Elysian Fiber offers a unique, patented technology that provides a quick, simple, and safe way to install last-mile fiber optic links for connecting sensors, buildings, antennas, and other devices along paved surfaces at a fraction of the time and cost of traditional fiber infrastructure deployment methodologies. Her vision is to bring fiber broadband infrastructure offerings to underserved communities while providing training and working to create jobs in cabling installation.

Most recently, Tin has assumed the role of Executive Director for Connect Ohio, which is part of Connected Nation, working with the State of Ohio leadership on broadband advocacy and planning.

Tina is an Advisory Board member for Per Scholas Columbus, Tiffin University’s Center for Cyber Defense and Forensics, Franklin University’s Center for Public Safety and Cybersecurity Education, and is a volunteer on the Governance and Education/Workforce Development sub-committee for the Ohio Cyber Collaboration Committee.
