Roger has years of non-profit leadership and fundraising experiences including work in higher education and religious, and cultural organizations. He has served in leadership roles in a number of volunteer organizations, including Tipton Community Theater and the SONKA Global Partnership, where he helped create an international partnership between 100 congregations in the United States and Rubate College in Kenya. He currently serves as the Tri-Village Rotary chair for the Rotary Foundation.
Roger earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Missouri State University, a Master of Divinity from Lexington Theological Seminary, and a Masters of Art and a Doctorate in American History from the University of Cincinnati. His academic work focuses on 20th century American popular culture and religion. Roger was born in Wichita, KS and grew up in Springfield, MO. He lived and worked in Kenya for three years. He is the father of three children and an avid fan of the professional sports teams of Kansas City.
