As Senior Manager, Development, Tia is responsible for managing fundraising and development efforts in our National Capital Region and Baltimore markets. Tia has close to 10 years of experience establishing and implementing effective partnerships between corporations and nonprofits. Tia brings a strong background in program design, donor engagement, grantmaking and cause marketing to her position at Per Scholas and her experience represents an array of sectors and industries, including nonprofits, start-ups, and corporate organizations.
Tia came to Per Scholas from STEMconnector, an organization that aims to increase the number of STEM-ready workers in the global talent pool. With a strong understanding of how nonprofits can leverage their assets to be seen as a strong partner, Tia has worked side-by-side with organizations such as National 4-H Council, Wolf Trap Foundation, and Jack and Jill of America Foundation to develop outreach and cultivation strategies with leading corporate funders.
Most recently, Tia earned a Master’s degree in Global Hospitality Leadership, from Georgetown University. She is a graduate of Trinity-Washington University and James Madison University. She lives just outside of Washington, DC and in her free time enjoys spending time with her family, performing arts, and podcasting.
