Sheillah Ndeda Aligula is originally from Kenya. She moved to the U.S. recently in order to find better opportunities for herself and her three children, who remained in Kenya while she got settled.
Although Sheillah had always been interested in technology, she had no idea how to break into the field and lacked the money to take more formal classes. “Back home, we are not that lucky to have opportunities or platforms like Per Scholas where someone can get a free education,” Sheillah recalled.
Sheillah learned about Per Scholas through a friend and enrolled in an IT Support course. “I knew that I would be able to find a good job to continue paying school fees. I am so, so grateful to the financial coaches, the instructors, and Per Scholas,” she said. Since graduating, Sheillah started her career as an IT Coordinator at Artceh Information Systems and received her Google IT Support Professional certification.
